Multiple award winning Nigerian filmmaker, Tunde Kelani has concluded plans towards the official launch and commencement of activities in his film institute.
Named the ‘Mainframe Film and Media Institute (MFMI)’, the institute will officially commence operations on Monday, May 16, 2016. The film institute is located at 1 Philip Akinseinde Close,
Off Akanni Dokunmu Crescent, Ibara Estate GRA, Abeokuta.
According to Tunde Kelani, “Nigerians can now acquire not just theoretical knowledge but adequate hands on experience in filmmaking at a moderate fee. They can learn how to make world class films with meaningful contents, how to harness technology as tools for development filmmaking, among others.”
The film institute is borne out of the need to give creative minds and other enthusiasts the requisite knowledge on filmmaking, film development, gathering contents and other media related studies.
Courses available for study in the school include Storytelling and Scripting, Location Sound Recording, Digital Photography and Cinematography, Production Design among several others.
